I went to pick up Robyn from her job today

I figured she didn't know the plans got postponed and still needed me for a ride

she didn't

she'd heard, and her dad was waiting

I just got to say "Merry Christmas" and not much more

she looked so sad there

so very sad

she was smiling and trying to act happy, but for a second she broke down

her smile faded and she wiped her eyes to stop her tears

(or so I think)

then her smile came back and she was able to act happy again

it broke my heart

I just wish she could be happy

I just wish the happy act wasn't an act

...*sigh*

nothing I can do about it
