I'm feeling a lot better about my life and myself today

today I went to my cousin's house for an eight and a half hour session of videogaming

that fucking rocked

missing Motorhead doesn't bother me at all now

'cause if I'd been at the show I wouldn't've been able to take part in what was one of the best nights I've had in a long time

we played a lot of Red Faction(2), which is what we always do

and we always have a ton of fun doing it

but there was a few-hour break in the middle while we played the new(est) Mortal Kombat

I haven't really been a fan of the Mortal Kombat series for a long time now

and this one didn't do much to change my mind

but it was fun for the time

at first it was kind've annoying because the controls kinda sucked and it was hard to fight and/or do moves

but then I went and printed up a list of how to do the fatalities

[on a side note, I went on my cousin's computer to do it; and he had so many porn sites in his favorites, it was hilarious]

[I'm not saying I don't go to porn sites, but I don't keep them in my favorites where anyone could find them if they sit down and play on my computer]

and we took the time to see everyone's(that they had unlocked) fatalities

they were pretty sweet

some of them were dissapointments

but there were some nicely gorey ones in there

heh heh

anyway, every time we get together for a night of videogaming(up until now we've played solely Red Faction 2)

we always play the same set-up for the last match

me and my two cousins on the same team against three bots(short for 'robots' as in computer players)

which is what we do every game, but I'm trying to give you the whole set up

in capture the flag on this level called "Warlords"

it's basically this tiny little circular canyon,

and on the two opposing sides there are fortresses built into the canyon walls

they're simple litle three-levels-and-a-roof buildings with a wall on the outside

the flags are on the roofs of the fortresses

and our strategy is usually this:

cousin A(Simon, the youngest of the 5 kids) is on the bottom of our base, keeping the bots from getting inside

cousin B(Ian, the second-to-oldest of the 5) goes and gets their flag and brings it back

I(Br- oh, right) stand on the roof of our base with a rocket launcher[technically a grenade launcher but it works like a rocket launcher], and take care of everyone I can get my sights on

now, I'm like a freaking sniper with that thing

I can nail people with pinpoint accuracy,

I can shoot a bot standing next to my cousin and not kill my cousin with the explosion

I'm a fucking bad-ass in that situation

that's why it makes it a guaranteed victory for the last game;

and I always set records in kills

[for those who aren't of the nerdy persuasion; when someone dies in a multi-player game, they simply re-spawn in one of a few set points inside their base or (if there is no base)area with only the basic weapon]

the first time we played it that way it was with me and Simon versus Ian and Cousin C; Alex(the next oldest under Ian)

and with only the two of them to worry about,

they could barely re-spawn before I killed them again

*evil grin*

anyway; the point of this disgustingly long hunk of exposition was:

this time, after eight hours; we were all tired; and our strategy came unglued

it was chaotic as hell, and we couldn't get a direct victory; but we still won because we had more captures when time ran out

and I set a brand-new record

now, before I say the number, I'm gonna give you some more exposition so you can be properly impressed

the average amount of kills someone gets in a capture the flag game is around 10-30

if they're a real hard-ass they can get somewhere around 40 or so

the amount of kills I usually get in Warlords is a little over a 100

this time,

I got:

one hundred and fifty seven kills

157

that probably means little to nothing to you

but to me that's a great feeling

that's a definite record in that game

for all my cousins and myself

to get 157 kills in one sitting is an astounding number

obviously I was killed quite a few times myself

[although I did have the least deaths that round]

that's insane

that's about three times the average amount if you're a hard-ass

[sorry; that expression has kinda wormed it's way into my vocabulary during these sessions with my cousins]

Hail to the King, Baby

just give me one more second to bask in that and then I promise I'll let it go

oh, oh yeah

ok

and now for things that actually matter

or rather, one thing

I've been trying to re-write that 'Unbreakable' song I put in here a couple days ago

the guitar is so perfect; it's the kind of melody I want to write from now on

it's exactly the kind of thing I want to write all the time

it sounds so good

and I don't want to ruin it or bring it down with lyrics that aren't up to its standard

and although those lyrics were entertaining(in their own way) they're not the kind of thing I want to sing

I wrote some other lyrics yesterday, but they weren't up to the standard either

really I need some inspiration, but at the moment I'm fresh out

I don't know; I'll keep trying

and if I come up with something particularly good maybe I'll post it in here

but I probably won't get exactly what I'm looking for right off the bat

and most likely not for a couple of tries

yeah, that's all I've got

sorry
